Finding ‘YOU’ – Personal Reflections

How we relate with people and respond to different environmental triggers is almost a direct reflection of who we are and what we believe.  It took me more than 40 years to find myself, but I could have saved many people the heartache that I caused them if I had understood who I was a lot earlier.

There are many roads to self-discovery, but this article contains some of my favourites and puts a spin on the simplest things we can do to have a basic idea of how we tick.

In summary, we need to:

  1. Make sense of our past

2. Differentiate ourselves

3. Seek meaning

4. Think about what we want

5. Recognize our power

5. Silence our inner critic

6. Practice compassion and generosity

7. know the value of friendship
